Not true trolling, but still good clean fun.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8983386.post-27250607786567507562007-10-17T06:23:00.000-05:002007-10-17T06:23:00.000-05:00Flake white, cerulean blue and depression. Even then, we dropped an atomic bomb on Japan as they were attempting to surrender and then we did it AGAIN knowing full well the damage the first bomb caused. the good guys, yes indeed, that was the propaganda campaign our age grew up with and it was mostly a crock of shit then as well as now. and that is all I gotta say about that.Life As I Know It Nowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03733963455243806298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8983386.post-14915240875156137152007-10-16T13:08:00.000-05:002007-10-16T13:08:00.000-05:00I think you're right that some people will be more...I think you're right that some people will be more comfortable as a commentator as part of a community at a larger site. Heck, that's how most bloggers get started, and some commentators essentially write posts (often great) in threads.

Have we lost that American virtue, or has it been stolen by the Bush crew? (Not that we don't need to repair their damage and take things back.)

One of these nights, I'll make the Salon!Batocchiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02193752396025012825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8983386.post-34737227382204406882007-10-15T23:50:00.000-05:002007-10-15T23:50:00.000-05:00in for the long haul, a lifetime...sounds like a p...in for the long haul, a lifetime...sounds like a plan, a good plan, in everything that we do, and especially nowAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8983386.post-55387925859752428312007-10-15T18:50:00.000-05:002007-10-15T18:50:00.000-05:00let's be the good guys againlet's be the good guys againGhost Dansinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15216056025402469120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8983386.post-41015771005128474982007-10-15T16:58:00.000-05:002007-10-15T16:58:00.000-05:00Did I tell you that strawberries are my favorite f...Did I tell you that strawberries are my favorite food in the world? As for the depression and lifetime thing ... it's all true. When I became a full-time activist it didn't take long for me to realize that the best I could hope for was that the world would be slightly better when I'm gone than it was when I started. Anyone who thinks this is anything less than a lifetime commitment is probably not paying attention.

That said -- this is the most fun/rewarding/challenging work I've every done, and I wouldn't want to be doing anything else.

BACBAChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04394238321236592123noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8983386.post-34361655026084192092007-10-15T10:38:00.000-05:002007-10-15T10:38:00.000-05:00I am painting with the depression tube today. On my TypePad blog I had a reader who felt he had to comment on every post whether or not he understood a word of it. Then there was the time two readers took me to lunch which turned out to be an intervention. They only liked my kid stories and it was time to turn the page into a mommie blog.

Never mind that I'm not a mommie.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
