One of my blog buddies is black, and on a post subtitled "this can happen to you" she and another of her commenters mentioned that as African-americans, they are much more likely for that treatment; I... don't have much to say to that.
And I live in Milwaukee, and much o fmy client base is AA. But as a white guy, I don't have that visceral experience.
I recall talking, over a couple of drinks, with the owner of a jazz club we were working on, and he talked about 'driving while black'. He said he couldn't even start telling me stories, because is was too common.
Wow! Pretty powerful presentation. Execution is barbaric. How could the family of the original victim feel that they have closure, knowing that an innocent man has been wrongly executed?
Very powerful and I will help to make it go viral!
ReplyDeleteNicely done, Bluegal. That is awesome.
