Deep Thought.

I am flabbergasted.

  1. i don't read over there- but i echo the sentiment. i really think a lot of folks are worn out. when these people meant perpetual war forever, i am beginning to believe that they had people like us in mind. their whole lives is war- war on drugs, war on terror, war on people who aren't like them. unfortunately, we are the ones that they are fighting against. and it does wear a body out. too many fronts to fight every single day.

Betmo is much kinder in perspective. My first thought was so mean-spirited that I emailed it to you instead of putting it here.

Mean spirited toward Atrios, not you, BG. But you knew that!

P.S. It's not that I dislike Atrios, but seriously?

I do go to Atrios often. I think his comment had more to do with him doing a 5K run for some health organization earlier that day than expressing being worn out about the current state of affairs. But that's just a guess.

I go to blogs to read good original writing. Best that I can tell, the Atrios blog is really popular because it is essentially a chat room.

Well. So it's out of the bag. BG n Physio bust it open.

I've TRIED to read Atrios with an open mind, for years now. I don't get it. It's like the Oakland, of a good woman writers creation whom I forget (Gertie Stein?) . . . there's no there, there. No knock on Oaklad, CA. It's got PLENTY of history, and character. It's rough like slums, and it's beautiful like Chitown's Loop.

But Atrios' place? I just don't get most of it, nor the HUGE traffic the site drives.

I also tired of FDL, and Digby, sometime early last year in '07.

There was a point where they just sold out the progressive agenda for a more 'sanitized' version of pseudo progressivism.

But at least with them, I had this REASON to reject them, THEY changed, somehow.

Whereas Atros never really changed for me, it was and remains, empty, somehow.

Sorry if I'm steppin on anyone's toes publicly, but I calls it like I see's it.

Physio, I hear your intent. I go to blogs for good thoughts, original thoughts, but they gotta be somewhat likeminded of mine, too.

    N Hence, My Blog Choices.

If I'm reading and posting on yer blog, it's cuz I like yer style, I like the people who comment, and cuz it's all somewhat LIKEMINDED.

And that like mind is open, and it can and DOES call bullshit for what it is, blog authors and readers/commenters alike.

I'll not start a blog flame war here BG, sorry if I've already gone too far, in fact.

But DAMN I think I get yer point of yer post.

You get MY heartiest, HARUMPH, too. In complete support. It's a bold post.

    Rawhk on you blogheads.

There's a LOT to talk about, yer all in my 5's, and it seems the rest of them pseudo bloggers just don't want to talk like they USED to do.

    Harumph.
