Why the whole "who is more progressive" thing doesn't register.

Because I still have this in a box in the basement. And I've decided to pack it for the move. Geez.

Oh yeah we all love Al Gore now, and of course there's no way I would vote for Nader this time. But spare me the "your candidate is not progressive enough" meme because I can't stand it.

Yeah, fuck that shit. How about this as a retort?

"My candidate is just sufficiently not completely over-the-top right-wing demented fucking wackaloon for me, fuck you very much!"

I don't think it's "more progressive", it's just "progressive"--if that's radical enough for folks in the 21st century.

BG, I've never known ya to be ambiguous?

What's not right about goin as progressive as far as ya can?

Um, and please never mind that Kuch and even Edwards were shut out by the 1% that owns and dictates who runs and who gets elected and that what we got left is further right from Attila The Hun.

Attila The Hun valued his labor, and his horses. ;-)

And if ONE person evokes Ron Paul as progressive, I SWEAH I'll skin an armadillo, boil it, and leave it on your doorstoop.

    Sweah. ;-)

  5. I consider myself a progressive, and I'm getting tired of that more-progressive-than-thou idiocy, too. There is no magic friggin' wand to wave -- let's just work with what we have to work with now, and proceed from there.

By the way, I voted for Nader in 2000 as well. It's not our fault the Democrats couldn't get their act together then. It was their own...
