Seeing triple at the newstand

We don't have TV at Casa Blue Gal, so I won't be watching tonight. And the first mention of the word "win" I shut the NPR coverage off. Zero patience left for this President.

In a happier story, thanks to all the alert BG readers who've pointed out that Whitney Houston is putting her used panties on the auction block. If this is a last ditch effort to get elected mayor of Tranny-ville, it just might work.

    It's over.

And it couldn't happen sooner enough.

No matter what Bush Jr. says, we should have never been there in the first place. We need out NOW...not in November.

We don't need an escalation. We need a clean break. Goodbye. Helicopter leaving embassy goodbye.

NOW. Support our troops. Bring them home NOW.

    Wow! Good catch!

Agree 100% that the moment I hear "win" I run, not walk, away from the radio.

  3. I have to admit I gave Time Magazine a little help...

  4. Time needed the help, though... ...I wonder if you could have that engraved in big, friendly letters over the entrance to either the Senate or the House. They need some help there, too...

The speech is over. I'm listening to NPR's post-lying binge follow-up. I haven't heard the "w" word yet. But it just started.

And that's good. Because the true believers and the chickenhawks can say all they want. This war is not going to be "won." We have lost already. We lost when the first tank crossed the border, when the first cruise missile fell in Baghdad. We not only have rent Iraq apart in a way that will assure that it will never be fixed, but we have enboldened the Iranians, we have emboldened the Palestinian terrorists, we have absolutely guaranteed that al-Quaeda will attack us again, while giving them a very nice set of targets to practice on for three years now.

I fear for my sons, and I fear for my students. Because the Iraqis are not going to be able to do all the things that Bush set out for them tonight. They are too busy using the police and the army as tools with which to slaughter each other already. Because the Democrats don't have the balls or the wherewithall to stop this maniac. Hell, Bush envoked the name of one of them in his speech. This "plan" is a design for disaster, and we are all going to pay for it.

    Time to go pray.

And how many of the books in that room do you think W. has actually read?

  8. OP, I think "Serge" is the latest transvestite to star as Whitney Houston at Men2Girlz Nightclub on The Strip. Rumor has it s/he's planning to outbid everybody on Whitney's unmentionables.

I've been seething about the speech all day. If 3000+ people died because of a drug company flub or e. coli in fast food salads, people would riot. Dubya says he wants to send more troops to Iraq after 3,000+ US deaths (and 22,565 soldiers wounded and who knows how many Iraqi civilain deaths) and the US public is like, "Um... okay..."

What is up with people? Why aren't we rioting, exactly?

Serge? Serge Savard. Played for Montreal. Good player, too.
