Art and chaos day at Blue Gal

"Redistricting/2006" done on Scribbler by Blue Gal her own self.

Sometimes we need to take a break and look at some art. Besides, I just plain don't like Bob Woodward.

Carpe You Some Diem is a cool blog by an art teacher. We need more blogs like this.

Too bad she doesn't get as much traffic as David Byrne's art blog. His is cool, too, but it's not fair that celebrity trumps what's interesting.

If you just want to walk through a London gallery on your laptop today, the one at StART SPACE is a nice size, nice variety, not too much, and lets us all see what some artists are doing today. Just click through the list of artists on the left side. The candy/cupcake bras by Sarah Hall made me giggle and think at the same time, a good thing for art to do.

Yes. Some soothing chaos is appropriate right about now. Thank you.

  2. Funny enough, I was thinking the same thing.

So I watched two Jean Cocteau movies in a row and felt much better.

I'm happy to send QuickTime Movies of my work, but I'm not sure if your email can accept them.

At any rate, you're right. Art, and the act of perception is political in and of itself.

I love the title Carpe You Some Diem. I will visit. I'm so bitchy today that my first, uncharitable thought was, Carpe Your Own Damn Diem, This One Is Taken!

  5. Hahahaha!!! I love the cupcake/candy bras! I once took a stained glass class with a lady who made a stained glass bra. I wish I had taken a photo of it, because it was amazing!

Via -- the actual original title of my blog was "Carpe You Some Diem, Dammit!" I dropped the "dammit" because some kids read my blog.

Sometimes we need to take a break and look at some art.

And I often take long breaks to create some art - whenever you feel the urge to take a break, you're most welcome to look at my artwork if you so wish.

About three decades ago, I crochéed myself a fantastic and very sexy bathing suit/bikini which was crochéed with one unbroken thread. I don't know what ever happened to it, and I wouldn't fit into it any more, alas. :)
