I've had three emails lately, all the same one, with limited English, signed each time with a different name, informing me that the sender wants to make friends. The emails are all on Skype background, sent at times other than Monday evenings. I did sign up for Skype ages ago, to participate in Salon, but I'm not available at the right times for that. I don't know why I'm getting these emails; they seem a lot like spam. I thought you would want to know. The emails have been addressed to me, as "always interested", at my own email address.
I get those too. It's spam. Indicating on your skype profile that you're a westerner is somehow an invitation to scam you. God help us females too.
Price of being on the internet. delete delete delete.
I finally got Skype! I'll join up tonight if I have enough time between now and then to figure out how the hell to use it. ha!
Thanks for the heads-up about the scam spam. As if I didn't already get enough spam after signing up for the Washington Post. Oy.
