I've had three emails lately, all the same one, with limited English, signed each time with a different name, informing me that the sender wants to make friends. The emails are all on Skype background, sent at times other than Monday evenings. I did sign up for Skype ages ago, to participate in Salon, but I'm not available at the right times for that. I don't know why I'm getting these emails; they seem a lot like spam. I thought you would want to know. The emails have been addressed to me, as "always interested", at my own email address.

ReplyDeleteI get those too. It's spam. Indicating on your skype profile that you're a westerner is somehow an invitation to scam you. God help us females too.
ReplyDeletePrice of being on the internet. delete delete delete.
I finally got Skype! I'll join up tonight if I have enough time between now and then to figure out how the hell to use it. ha!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads-up about the scam spam. As if I didn't already get enough spam after signing up for the Washington Post. Oy.
Thanks, Blue Gal. I do, "delete, delete, delete".
