he's on mine. thanks
Happy Zappadan to all. I posted my tribute on I Painted My Fridge Red and now I can't stop dancing !
Blue Gal, I had no idea what I was missing. I always thought I was a misanthrope, but how could that be since I just fell madly in love with you. I'm now inspired to repost my Aging Barbies piece or pieces. I will get endless shit form my administrator and blog mate, but what the hell, it's Zappadan. I can't say I was ever an album buying Zappa fan, but I was a fan of Frank's total lack of reverence of any bullshittery like xmas or Bunnyday. I do have a vague recollection of a Zappa album cover of a guy getting his face shredded by rabid weasels? Could that be true or was it just a vivid acid flashback? Hard to say. Odd this, my word ID thingy is stedi. i am anything but stedi.
Love the promo!Regards,Tengrain
You know, your video just worked, 'cause while I have been a Zappadan sympathizer for sure, I have stood on the sidelines previously and am actually thinking of committing to such an event.
Utah, that would be the cover of "Weasels Ripped My Flesh" 1970.Zappa is a true eclectic, both in his music and art. And true to form, at last report he didn't appreciate being remembered. As iconic a face as you will likely see in this life, he seemed to ignore his influence on a culture that desperately needed to have it's sense of correctness shattered to the core. Frank made fun of it and clearly wanted it to be better. In the end, he'll see it will be so much better than he imagined.
I really look forward to hearing what you have to say. I do moderate comments, but non-spam comments will take less than 24 hours to appear... Thanks!
