More fun with Twitter

A little inside baseball, but actual tweets. If you don't get it and want to, google "blogroll amnesty day."

And memo to Cardinal Ratzinger: That whole "excommunicate the 9yo rape victim's mom and not the pedophile rapist" thing is bound to make people feel all warm and fuzzy about your Church, just like they did about your Führer.

  1. What's that sound?

Why it's the sound of Catholic shorts (and panties) getting all knotted up.

  3. I think what's even more insane is that there are people out there that will defend the church's action in this case. I still want to know what isn't innocent about the 9 year old, that she can be sacrificed, but two 15 wk fetuses can't under doctrine.

    Honestly, this was just obscene.

I am even going to ignore the inflammatory issue of the rape (which just makes the whole Church reaction that much more idiotic, but isn't even the real point) and focus on the core issue here.

A nine year old girl is not going to give birth to a healthy child and is not going to have a healthy pregnancy. A girl that age is not physically developed for childbirth and the odds are that the child would not survive delivery and the little girl would be horribly damaged by the process. Assuming that she did not miscarry in a manner that caused huge medical complications for her long before childbirth. Forcing her to carry a hugely dangerous pregnancy to term so she could be subjected to an invasive caesarean (the only 'safe' way to deliver under circumstances) to deliver a child that would almost certainly not survive is simply inhumanly cruel.

To revisit inflammatory country again, that would be worse than the original rape.

Raping children has never been a problem with the church in the past, why would you expect anything different the mother church.

But the good news is Ratzinger can now sell himself an indulgence.

Calling this Pope a Nazi is NOT over the top.

    1) I keep coming back to what you tweeted and laugh and laugh and laugh.

    2) there is a difference between being over the top and being accurate.

It is very accurate to say that the Pope was a Nazi; that is factually true.
