I actually listened to Rush Limbaugh's radio show for five full minutes, and after sitting on the couch and having a good cry, I'm ready to write again.
Shorter Limbaugh Today: "What got us out of the Great Depression, and I know this absolutely positively for certain with every fiber of my being because I was there, was Ronald Reagan's tax cuts for the wealthiest individuals."
Sigh.
I think you could have used your time more wisely than listening to Russ Limburger spew his hate and ignorance ... maybe ANYTHING ELSE would have been better.
ReplyDeleteIt's important to know what the enemy is saying.
ReplyDeletemagnificent in his ignorance....
ReplyDeleteyou really want to let loose with full out crying, cursing, pulling hair, etc. listen to hannity's show for 5 minutes :) trust me- my head of intel (aka my mom) not only listened to most of limbaugh's show today- but a bit of hannity's and trinity broadcast network. she had been out of the loop on wingnuttia's plans as she was fighting a cold. but that woman is brave and went where angels fear to tread just to see what the right wing listens too :) she gives me great material for the blog :)
ReplyDeleteI commend you for your fortitude; I won't go there. Please tell me you're being satirical - he didn't really say that...
ReplyDeleteIt could be worse.. you could be one of the drones who tunes in for MORE than five minutes a day.
ReplyDeleteFurther proof that great evil and great beauty can sit side by side on a couch.
ReplyDeleteScrew 'em. He's so full of crap his eyes should be brown.
Rgds,

That's the latest 'tard lie. So far, only the 'tards are swallowing it.
ReplyDeleteSadly, it took another Republican Depression to teach people that the 'tard policy of transferring all wealth to the rich inevitably brings on a Depression. Never mind the ample proof of this through several cycles-people seemed content to listen to a dope-addicted pedophile in Florida in place of thinking for themselves. Now that the wolf has visited so many of us, the pedophile dope addict is losing a lot of his traction, and rightfully so.
This from the man that for all intents and purposes is the voice and 'soul' of the Republican Party.
ReplyDeleteAnd the democratic leadership is afraid of that?
Who's more pathetic?
The standerd berer for the GOP is a purvurtid hi skool grajuate junkee. Feer ther power.
ReplyDeleteit's scary really. it really is.
ReplyDeleteI've always thought that their boy Rushcouthless provided the perfect foil (if only some Dave Barry of the left could take a big bite out of his Rushruthlessness) to satirize the whole rightwing in his name, which we now have the necessary proof that they listen to him mindlessly (and heedlessly).
ReplyDeleteSurely someone can write something piercing to the heart of American modernity (okay, appealing to the lower middle-class voter) to drive a stake through this dracula once and for all.
BG? Dg? Dr. Know?
Come on. We've got tons of talent here. Somebody volunteer!

PS - My hat's off to you BG. I don't have the gene that allows me to listen to him at all - 5 minutes deserves a Nobel (or something equivalent for valor).
That Limbaugh quote makes oxycontin sound like lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I get this sense that Rush Limbaugh is part of one long, sadistic effort to Punk Republican politicians. I wonder if he snickers off the air "Ha. Making this shit up is just too funny. I love my job."
