I would like to say, from the perspective of a most common citizen that this election is about getting what we already have rights to, public education, our National Parks, Medicare, Social Security, access (for all) to higher education, unemployment insurance, a cleaner environment, better air quality, less nuclear proliferation, etc. If the retros win the White House, you can kiss most of your benefits goodbye, and start paying higher drug prices and watch the Federal government get out of the education business and hand over the National Parks to the Oligarchs. You can start saving for college before you ever start a family and watch many watch dog agencies disappear.
