HATE.

falafel2

A big smooch to the Beautiful People coming from Crooks and Liars. Get the full frontal Blue Gal here.

Blue Gal really tries in her Christian heart of hearts to love all mankind, and at least not to hate anybody. She kneels in church, for real, and prays for the soul of Dick Cheney, for Christ's sake. Really for Christ's sake. She sees that Jesus on the Cross thingy up at the front of the church and she thinks to herself there but for the grace of God go I and she thinks to herself "now whose soul is so far on its way to hell that it really needs a prayer?" and she prays for Cheney.

But it's hard not to hate Bill O'Reilly. It's really hard, Bill. You are such a fricking hypocritical liar poseur idiot loudmouth a-hole.

Blue Gal's mother says that you can always find something nice to say about anybody. "Hitler loved his canary," She would say. Uh, okay Mom:

Bill O'Reilly has more journalistic integrity than Brit Hume.

How's that, Mom? Will that work for you?

Anyhoo, Blue Gal has added a Media Matters newsbox to her ol' sidebar. You can see why over there, and you can click down at the bottom of that box to get your own Media Matters newsbox for your site. That hiring assassin-ator George Soros (deity, does not need Blue Gal's prayers, has Comrade Jesus at his side, etc.) has made this a free service for ya. Thanks George. xoxo

As a Buddhist I can perhaps give you some insight into hate. Humankind has hate because of fear and reason. An animal simply responds with anger when confronted with fear. But humankind can rationalize his fear and decide that Mr. O'Reilly, a purveyor of hatred, is a mean S.O.B. We fear mean S.O.B's. They seem powerful. And O'Reilly has lots of power because we know many people listen to him and agree with his hateful rants. As a Zen Buddhist I don't believe in prayer, but in understanding and compassion. Mr. O'Reilly is a very unhappy man who cannot even take a walk with his family. He says he is in constant fear for his life, and the lives of his family. Now how would you like to have that kind of life? He deserves our compassion. Jesus would certainly be filled with compassion.

  3. Anon: Or you could consider it Instant Karma, you know, the powdered kind you can put on your cereal. That, plus I think he's lying out his ass in both a bid for sympathy and to throw ill intention on his favorite demon, "Liberals!".

  4. I'm sure if Bill could hear that you are praying for him, he would tell you to

SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP! Cut her mike, NOW!

Is it just me, or has O'Really had some eye work?

O'Reilly has had his day in the sun as a defender of ignorance. His overpowering style left many of us in a state of dismay at how low tv journalism has sunk. He's made his money and had his moment of fame but at some point he has to realize how he's contributed to the dismal state that our country has sunk to. He will fade into history and his books will be found on the $1 sale rack --- a fitting tombstone for a huckster.

  8. Blue Gal can relate to those of you who sense some tragedy in O'Reilly these days. What kind of legacy will he leave when he retires? er, none. That's gotta be scary for someone with his ego.

    Thanks for writing in.

  10. And the LGF posting abut the "parties" got 144 comments, which about 134 more than I ever got for busting my hump sourcing news to get my facts right and employinhg some semblance of literary technique.

Sorry, blue gal, when I see that, I have to believe that there is no God.

My mother loves O'Reilly but then she still thinks Nixon was innocent.

I think O'Reilly just says things that irk "Blue People" because they are true, but don't fit in with the "Blue View" of the world.
