The most dangerous people on the planet right now?

foulmouthshirts.com actually has worse than this...I couldn't wear it anywhere but I love this shirt. Love it.

My vote goes to Christian Zionists, who think apocalypse of one kind or another is a good thing, that we should let Israel do whatever it wants because nuclear Armageddon is gonna bring Jesus back (I mean, like QD I want my Jesus back, but not that way) and then once Israel helps bring Jesus back through nuclear Armageddon the Jews will have the choice of converting to Christianity or (tell 'em what they've won, Ryan)... burning in hellfire for all eternity!

In the meantime, these psychopathic FUCKS (sorry, Mr. BG) openly fellate the pro-Israel lobby AIPAC fascists, who seem to like it. Aaah to the Zionism part, la-la-la-la to the convert or die part. How convenient.

There's more, as Bruce Wilson of the amazing blog Talk2Action points out:

...if the US gets drawn into a war with Iran, the "theocracy problem" will get much worse in a hurry, I can almost guarantee.

That's why I've been directing a lot of attention to writing on Pastor John Hagee, who has formed "Christians United For Israel", a 'pro-Israel' lobby that may develop more legislative clout than AIPAC and which has been created to foment war, catastrophic nuclear war no less, in the Mideast and globally too.

CUFI is a big political problem right now in its success at tying down political opposition to a war against Iran ; John Hagee is making tremendous inroads in the American Jewish community, which is extremely conflicted but likes Hagee because of his noisy denunciations of antisemitism. Hagee also writes that Hitler and the Nazis were carrying out God's plan, that the Holocaust and antisemitism were ultimately the Jews' fault for disobeying God, that most of the Jews in Israel will die in the war Hagee hopes and lobbies for and the rest will have to convert to Christianity....

Anyway, I could go on but Hagee is both a would-be theocrat but also has become a major tactical threat, right now, to world peace.

More later, like, maybe a post on how Christians (and fuck yeah, I call myself one) should be for peace and shit. Oh nevermind.

Hagee is evil! And far too few people know the ultimate goal of fundies who suck up to Israel. Scary.

  2. There's one way to stop this guy:

Start digging for dirt. This guy has to have an underage prostitute lover or a meth addiction or a fondness for porn. He has to have at least cheated on taxes. Something. Anything.

  3. Hagee is a scary man. he was interviewed on NPR's "Fresh Air" a while back, and his spew had Terry Gross pretty flummuxed, which is hard to do. It's sad to think he really believes what he says, and still claims to believe in the same Bible I read.

  4. i've been telling people this for years and years. i started checking in on the fundie t.v. programs during the iran hostage crisis way back then and they made no secret of their agenda. they were proud of it.
they were proud that "they" were going to help bring about the rapture and the second coming. it's one reason why they don't give a rat's ass about the earth and global warming, depleting resources etc. the rapture is nigh!
i also watched jimmy sawggart paint catholis as secret astarte worshippers( no lie)
yet, no one, not one mainstream christian church leader would challenge those televangelists.

now, this is what we have to deal with and they seem to have convinced bush that he is god's chosen to help bring those "end times"

as if any god would "need" help.
the arrogance of people that think that way just floors me every time.

I don't understand why they care so much about gay marriage if they want the end-times to arrive. It should matter no more than any other issue they don't care about (ie. global warming). Or am I missing something?

  6. i think they use the gay issue among others so that they can stay in power. if they are ousted then the "end times" might be put off.

can't start arrmagedon if you aren't in charge.

of course that leads me to think that they don't have much faith in their idea of god.

just think how powerful the democratic party must be if we can deny god his plans til another republican gets in the white house! ; )

as if god is just waiting for bush and cheney to give the word!

I see you're doing your part to fulfill Revelation 22:11 ("he [she] which is filthy, let him [her] be filthy still") - thus making the Bible even more believable! M.E.

These aren't revivalists. They're survivalists--the kind who will push other people out of the lifeboat--or set the other lifeboats on fire. And, they think they'll get something out of this--money, fame, control, for all the good it will do them. What ever happened to "Thou shalt not kill", "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain", "Thou shalt not covet", and "I was hungry and you gave me to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me to drink"?
