  5. Just passing by. As a liberal Christian what are your views about the portrail of Islam in the western media?

    ReplyDelete
  6. I think it really sucks and we have no clue as to what Islam is, nor do most Americans care. We're much too busy watching "Dancing with the Stars."

Seriously, this is the one area where a comparison to Viet Nam is actually helpful. America's total lack of regard for other cultures damages us the most. We did not understand Vietnamese culture and made our own enemies throughout South Vietnam as a result. We're doing the same thing in the Middle East.

And we don't even know how influential Islam is in Africa, the Near East, and now even Europe. We just don't have a clue.

I'm absolutely ashamed of my country. If you are an NSA spy, please tell your boss, okay? Otherwise, thanks much for writing me.

  9. Jeremy, we haven't even begun the primaries for favorite panties on Blue Gal yet. In fact, not one of the panties has even been to Iowa yet.

  11. Blu gal and and 21st cent,

"Seriously, this is the one area where a comparison to Viet Nam is actually helpful. America's total lack of regard for other cultures damages us the most."

All one need do is here the leader of the freeworld talk of "axis" and "evil" and "bring `em on" and "over there so we don't have to here" bullshite and one can sense he hasn't a clue geographically and culturally about Iraq and about 99% of the world... Saddest thing is his base are no more in tune with the rest of the world than he is... We are in a heap of trouble here...and the world knows it.

21st century liberal Christian, as a human being I'd like to know what your views are on the portrayal of Islam in the western media?

  15. Who the hell is Kirk? Veiled threats to people I don't know? This is the blogosphere, man.

  16. Blue Gal,
Kirk is a poster that does some serious parody... his irony is palpable... As far as the veiled threat methinks it may have been a joke or perhaps just a person that doesn't understand that Kirk's Christian imitations are so out there that it is very funny... Thought that might settle your mind at least on the Kirk identity issue...
